- Warren Buffett, the famous investor, invested a great amount of money in oil stocks. Buffett bought a huge amount of Kinder Morgan(KMI), an oil pipeline company.
- Gulf investors are now betting on India's market. India had a growth of 7.3%, and its demand for energy is rising in high speed.
- China has sold $18 billion of U.S. treasury debt in December, and following China, Japan has sold $22 billion, which was even more than China.
- Iran officially stated that they support the deal between Saudi Arabia and Russia to freeze oil production. Oil price rallied after this statement was made.
